Eloïse Van der Heyden - 2025

SATYRE

Born in 1983, New Haven, USA. Lives and works in Fontainebleau, France.

Eloïse Van der Heyden’s work captures imprints of the world and the interpenetration of humans and their environment. She explores matter to reveal the correspondences between the elements and perceives the world as she apprehends art and life—as an inseparable whole. Her practice is intended as an exchange between the inner and outer worlds, a journey between the forest—deep and universal—and the realm of the intimate, delicately conveying the sense that everything exists inside oneself.

Working through a direct imprint process, Van der Heyden explores the forest as a source of life, creating a plant-based environment composed of trunks, leaves, flowers, and branches. Through these works, the artist develops her own myths that constantly join those of humanity, revealing an intimate and sensual garden through prints, watercolours, and ceramics.
