Veneto Wine Tasting at Ciao's Cellar

In the secrets of slow hours, join us in the wine cellar of our Italian restaurant Ciao, for a wine tasting of long-gone seasons.

Discover the volcanic heart of the Veneto, a region where ancient lava soils, rolling hills and sun-bathed vineyards shape wines of striking minerality and character.

For this first wine tasting in March, we begin in the region where our sommelier was born: the Veneto. A land of contrasts, where mountains, plains and volcanic origins come together, giving rise to expressive wines deeply connected to their terroir.

Defined by notes of citrus, white flowers, subtle smoke and vibrant minerality, these wines reflect the power of volcanic soils and the finesse they bring to the glass. Each sip tells a story of place, tradition and natural energy.

Our sommelier Giampietro will guide you through this journey across the Veneto’s volcanic landscapes, presenting three emblematic producers from different areas of the region:

  • Le Battistelle from Soave
  • Muni from Lessini Durello
  • Maeli from Colli Euganei

A tasting experience that celebrates identity, origin and craftsmanship, where geology meets winemaking.

Spaces are limited — reserve your spot now.

Wines will be available for purchase after the tasting.

Giampietro Faggionato

Giampietro Faggionato hails from Verona, a city renowned for its fine wines and beautiful hills. He earned his first degree in economics and management from Trento and then pursued a master's in marketing in Milan. This academic journey included a six-month stay in Australia for research on the Australian wine market, which he later connected to the Italian market. His passion for wine grew immensely from this experience. In 2016, he moved to Brussels and started his own business importing wines from small Italian producers, leveraging his previous experience in the Horeca and events industry. Currently, Giampietro continues to develop his import business and runs a small catering company in Brussels.
