Thursdays are for DJs

Unwind, connect with fellow members, and enjoy an exclusive DJ set at ökēn, TheMerode’s cocktail bar

TheMerode invites you to surrender to rhythm and movement with Adam Baker, a Brussels-based DJ and vinyl collector with a deep passion for rare and eclectic sounds.

A musical journey designed for discovery, connection, and immersive energy.

Rooted in a meticulous exploration of global music, Adam Baker curates sets that blend rare grooves from the 70s to the 90s, drawing inspiration from African, Latin, and Asian rhythms. His approach is both instinctive and refined, guided by a love for analog sound and musical storytelling.

As the founder of the Midnight Voodoo series, he has been shaping since 2018 a series of 100% vinyl events celebrating musical diversity and cultural richness. His sets, crafted exclusively on vinyl, offer a warm, textured, and deeply authentic listening experience.

A resident on Kiosk Radio and Radio Alhara, Adam has also performed internationally, bringing his distinctive sound to cities such as London, Tokyo, and Berlin.

His selections move seamlessly between genres and eras, creating a space where rhythm becomes a language of its own — rich, soulful, and universal.

An invitation to listen, explore, and connect through sound — carried by rare grooves, global influences, and the timeless energy of vinyl.
