Thursdays are for DJs

Unwind, connect with fellow members, and enjoy an exclusive DJ set at ökēn, TheMerode’s cocktail bar

TheMerode invites you to surrender to rhythm and movement with MEDOUZ, a Brussels-based DJ and multidisciplinary artist deeply rooted in Hip Hop culture.

A musical journey designed for groove, connection and raw, physical energy.

Born and raised in Liège, MEDOUZ brings a dancer’s sensibility behind the decks. Shaped by his beginnings in Bboying and graffiti, his approach to DJing is instinctive and body-driven — where rhythm leads and movement follows naturally. His Moroccan heritage and wide musical curiosity infuse his sets with rich textures and global influences.

From the foundations of Hip Hop — Funk, Soul, Jazz and Blues — to Jungle and percussive club sounds, MEDOUZ crafts immersive, high-energy experiences under his concept Worldwide Drum Grooves. In his universe, drums become a universal language, bridging cultures and generations through sound.

His selections are both rooted and forward-thinking, designed for dance floors that seek authenticity, culture and collective vibration.

An invitation to move, connect and experience rhythm as something deeply human — carried by groove, heritage and energy.
