Thursdays are for DJs

Unwind, connect with fellow members, and enjoy an exclusive DJ set at ökēn, TheMerode’s cocktail bar

TheMerode invites you to let go and move to the sun-drenched sounds of DJ KAT, a Brussels-based electro-funk trio performing in DJ set format.

A musical moment designed for freedom, rhythm and shared energy.

DJ KAT crafts a vibrant and uninhibited electro-funk universe, where nostalgia meets immediate pleasure. As a trio, they blend bouncy grooves, organic percussion and playful energy, creating a sound that feels both warm and forward-looking.

Their DJ sets are built as spaces of release — where movement comes naturally, the mind unwinds, and music becomes a collective experience. Rooted in the Brussels scene, DJ KAT brings a generous, feel-good energy, inviting everyone to dance, let go and enjoy the moment.

A celebration of rhythm, connection and joy — carried by sound, sunshine and movement.

KAT

Kat’s recordings, long shrouded in mystery, recently surfaced when Jam Hotel became a creative refuge. In room 603, Kat crafts an indie dance electro-funk sound blending nostalgia with pure pleasure. This time, the project takes the form of a DJ set, designed for the live experience and the dancefloor: sun-soaked melodies, raw rhythms and playful grooves flow together with infectious energy, echoing the spirit of Sly Stone, Bootsy Collins and Daft Punk. Kat merges vintage and modern influences, frees the body and blurs stylistic boundaries.
