Inspired by this moment, he immersed himself in the world of wine and spirits, joining tasting societies and managing his college bar as a passionate pursuit. What began as a hobby soon evolved into a full-fledged career. Over the years, Jean-Robert has developed an extensive and nuanced understanding of the drinks world, becoming a dedicated advocate for the thoughtful enjoyment of fine wines, spirits, cocktails, and food. He encourages incorporating these pleasures—always in moderation—into everyday life as a way to enrich and elevate it. He began his professional journey in London, one of the world’s most dynamic and diverse drinks markets, where he honed his expertise. His deep knowledge and discerning palate led him to a role as a commercial buyer for a specialist retail chain catering to an elite clientele, including Masters of Wine, international celebrities, high-net-worth individuals, and acclaimed television chefs. Now based in Brussels, Jean-Robert works with one of Belgium’s leading wine and spirits importers. In parallel, he advises high-end bars and Michelin-starred restaurants, bringing his passion and expertise to some of the most refined tables in the industry.
