Your weekly training with TheMerode Run Club 

Whether you're aiming for a new challenge or just looking for a great run with a community, this session is for you. Runners of all levels are welcome - we'll split into groups based on pace, so whether you prefer a steady jog or a faster run, you'll find the right fit. 

This run will be led by pro athlete Valentin Poncelet & another coach for beginners. 

We’ll meet at TheMerode Terrace at 18:30, head out for the run, and return for a well-deserved post-run drink. Don't hesitate to join with a guest!

Valentin Poncelet

Two-time winner of the Wings for Life World Run in the Netherlands, with an impressive record of 67.4 km, he stands out as one of the most consistent and resilient runners of his generation. In 2019, he claimed victory at the 20 km of Brussels in 1:00:34, securing his place among the country’s top long-distance athletes. He also boasts a strong marathon personal best of 2:15 — a testament to his discipline, methodical training, and mental strength. Supported by various sponsors, Valentin continues to push his limits, compete at the highest level, and inspire through his dedication.
