In today’s complex world, the ability to navigate different social, cultural, and sectoral codes has become a form of cognitive agility: the capacity to move between worlds, interpret shifting norms, and connect domains that rarely speak the same language.


Businesswoman Fatine Layt, global consumer investor Eric Melloul, CEO of Adore Me Romain Liot, and Vice-President at BlackRock Charles Woringer will share how this skill has become a defining advantage. They will explore why diversity is not just a social value or organisational challenge, but a strategic resource for understanding tomorrow’s consumers, markets, and opportunities — a tool to navigate and shape the future.


Co-organised with Play4Peace, the evening will bring together its young members and those of TheMerode. Small-group discussions will follow, offering a platform to exchange ideas and build meaningful connections.

Fatine Layt is a veteran investment banker, investor, and entrepreneur, and president of A Curated By Group. She leads Oddo Corporate Finance and sits on the Group’s Executive Committee. With a career spanning private equity, media, and M&A advisory, Layt blends financial acumen with an entrepreneurial and cultural perspective, shaped by her Franco-Moroccan background. She is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and a recipient of the Legion of Honour.

Eric Melloul is a global consumer investor with two decades of experience scaling food and beverage brands across Europe, the US, and Asia. He has backed category-defining names including Oatly, Vita Coco, and Tony’s Chocolonely. Formerly at AB InBev and McKinsey & Company, Melloul combines operational expertise with strategic insight, anticipating long-term shifts in consumer behaviour and technology. Educated at LSE and Harvard.

Charles Woringer, CFA, is Vice President at BlackRock, overseeing client relationships in Belgium and Luxembourg. He previously managed multi-asset portfolios at Rothschild & Co. Woringer holds a Master’s in Business Engineering from Solvay Brussels School and is a CFA Charterholder.

Romain Liot is Co-Founder and COO of Adore Me, leading a team of 600 across the U.S. and Europe. He drives operations and tech innovation, helping the company grow from $1M in 2012 to over $300M in 2023. Previously a management consultant at McKinsey, Liot holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s from LSE.
