Yousef Hidarinia was born in Iran in 1978, at the dawn of the revolution, a time of profound change and uncertainty. Growing up at the foot of the mountains, he was surrounded by rugged landscapes that shaped his connection to the natural world.
In 2000, he arrived in Belgium to broaden his perspective and deepen his artistic journey. His passion for form and space first led him to study interior design, then photography, spending years capturing moments, textures, and the interplay of light and shadow. Later, his path took another unexpected turn into the culinary world, where he explored creativity through taste, composition, and the sensory experience of food.
Eventually, he found his way back to the most primal and grounding material - clay - through the study of the throwing wheel. Today, he shapes the earth into forms that speak of movement, balance, and emotion. Each piece is a dialogue between tradition and imagination, between control and spontaneity.
