Thu. November 6, 7:30AM
A sharp, off-the-record briefing on EU and world politics—over breakfast at TheMerode.
We’re delighted to continue The Breakfast Club, our morning series hosted by Paul Adamson. Each edition features a candid, in-depth conversation with a key figure shaping the European and global landscape.
This time, Paul welcomes Agnieszka Bartol, Poland’s Permanent Representative to the EU and the first woman ever to hold this post. With a distinguished career at the Council of the European Union and in the Polish government, Bartol brings unparalleled insight into the workings of Brussels and the shifting role of Poland within the Union.
Together, they will explore how Europe is navigating a turbulent geopolitical environment, the balance between national priorities and EU-wide solidarity, and the forces shaping Europe’s next chapter—from enlargement and institutional reform to economic competitiveness and security.
7:30 – Welcome, coffee and breakfast
8:00–9:00 – Conversation and audience Q&A (ends sharply at 9:00)
Breakfast includes: Viennoiseries, yoghurt, fruit, granola, overnight oats, chia pudding, fresh juices, tea and coffee.
This is a small-format event limited to 20 guests, designed for early risers with a taste for sharp thinking and fresh insight.
