Small Circle Networking Sessions - Navigating Media

An Intimate Gathering Created by Members, for Members

Small Circles Networking is a member-led breakfast format designed to spark meaningful conversations within our community.

Hosted at TheStables at 8:00 AM, each session is initiated and led by a fellow member who brings forward a topic, question, or area of expertise to explore with others. The format is intentionally intimate, encouraging open dialogue, thoughtful exchange, and genuine connection.

For this session, join Mae Emerick for a candid and thought-provoking conversation on the theme: “Navigating Media”

We are all part of a media system for which very few of us have been prepared. From social platforms and traditional journalism to private conversations and direct-to-audience channels, media today forms a complex infrastructure that shapes how we understand the world.

This session invites you to explore how these different environments — from Instagram and TikTok to publications, newsletters, and community platforms — influence visibility, information, and perception. Together, we will reflect on how content moves across these spaces, and how algorithms, editorial choices, and user participation redefine the way media is created, shared, and understood.

Designed as a space for open exchange, this small-group discussion will bring together perspectives, experiences, and insights, allowing participants to better navigate media in their personal and professional lives. An opportunity to step back, question the systems we engage with daily, and develop a clearer, more conscious approach to information and communication.

Breakfast is at each participant’s own cost.

Join the circle, share your insights, and connect with fellow members around the table.
