An Intimate Gathering Created by Members, for Members
Small Circles Networking is a member-led breakfast format designed to spark meaningful conversations within our community. Hosted at TheStables at 8:15 AM, each session is initiated and led by a fellow member who brings forward a topic, question, or area of expertise to explore with others. The format is intentionally intimate, encouraging open dialogue, thoughtful exchange, and genuine connection.
For this session, join Victoria Boutros Ghali Jakobsen for a guided and interactive discussion on the theme: “Cybersecurity, Geopolitics & Digital Sovereignty.” Together, you will explore how growing geopolitical tensions are reshaping cyber and IT supply chains across Europe, and why digital dependencies have become one of today’s most strategic challenges.
As organisations increasingly rely on infrastructure, software, cloud services, and technologies provided by major American and Chinese actors, these dependencies are now being viewed not only as operational necessities, but also as potential risks to security, privacy, and resilience.
The conversation will focus on the evolving concept of data sovereignty and the European Union’s efforts to strengthen digital resilience through regulation, strategic autonomy, and emerging cybersecurity frameworks. Through concrete examples and practical insights, participants will gain a clearer understanding of the complex relationship between technology, national security, law, and global power dynamics.
Designed as a space for open and thought-provoking exchange, this small-group conversation invites participants to share perspectives, ask questions, and better understand the geopolitical and technological forces shaping the future of cybersecurity in Europe.
Breakfast is at each participant’s own cost.
Join the circle, share your insights, and connect with fellow members around the table.
