Security, Affordability, Sustainability: the energy trilemma

Join Marie-Pierre Fauconnier, Léopold Coppieters and Pierre-Henri D’haene for an energetic conversation

The conversation will tackle with authenticity and truthfulness some of the burning questions you might have, from the nuclear debate to the rocketing rise in energy prices.
This is a significant moment in energy. As we experience the world’s first demand-driven energy shock and navigate multiple once in-a-lifetime crises, it is apparent to everyone, everywhere, that energy affects every part of life. The world energy agenda cannot be advanced by swinging from one priority to another. Successful energy transitions can only be achieved by maintaining focus on all pillars of the World Energy Trilemma — security, affordability, and sustainability — to ensure no one is left behind.

How did we get to the current crisis situation? What can we do to mitigate or prevent future peaks? Can renewable energy guarantee energy security on its own? Does nuclear energy have a role to play in our future energy landscape? How can we link Security with Affordability and Sustainability?

Join the conversation with Marie-Pierre Fauconnier, Léopold Coppieters and Pierre-Henri D’haene.
