Why knowing about climate change isn’t enough and what joy reveals about taking action
Despite widespread awareness of climate change, many of us remain caught between concern and concrete action. (IN)ACTION explores this gap with curiosity, humour, and empathy.
In this documentary, filmmakers Célia Poncelin and Léo Primard follow a young couple who have profoundly changed their way of life and invite three relatives who are sceptical, disengaged, or unconvinced on a road trip across France. Along the way, they meet people who have taken decisive steps to act, as well as researchers who shed light on the psychological and social mechanisms that shape our capacity to change.
The film offers a lively and accessible exploration of why action is difficult, what helps unlock it, and how joy, connection, and shared experience can play an unexpected role in moving forward.
This screening is organised in collaboration with the The Good Wave, a King Baudouin Foundation initiative. It will be followed by a conversation with the filmmakers, short interactive moments, and an informal lunch, creating space for exchange, reflection, and connection.
The screening will be held in French with English subtitles, and the conversation will be held in French.
