A workshop on the initiatory stages of a woman's life.
Rites, rituals, and initiatory passages to mark transitions: these are practices found in all ancestral communities across the world. And for good reason—science has shown that rituals directly affect the unconscious mind and help us navigate significant psychological milestones.
A woman's life is marked by major stages: the maiden (spring); the mother/creator (summer); the witch/powerful woman (autumn); and the wise woman (winter). These chapters are defined by key life events such as: birth, menarche (first menstruation), motherhood, midlife, and menopause. Each of these events brings deep psychological upheavals. With proper support, they can lead to inner growth.
The danger in our culture? Getting psychologically stuck in one of these stages—such as remaining in the role of the little girl. Together with Emilie Sickinghe, we’ll explore these major phases in a woman’s life, the challenges they present, and how to move through them in order to “survive the initiation” and access their gifts.
