Van Bouwel, Gilles

Gilles Van Bouwel is a prominent Belgian TV personality, best known for his role as “De Mol” in the fourth season of De Mol, while working as a Brand Manager at Unilever. His success led to guest appearances and, in 2016, a transition to television with VIER, where he featured in shows like Zeg eens euh! and Glammertime. That year, he also won De Slimste Mens ter Wereld (Smartest Man in the World), showcasing his sharp intellect. From 2018 to 2021, Gilles co-hosted Café De Mol, a show that dissected the ongoing De Mol series. His charisma and intelligence have made him a beloved figure in Belgian entertainment, and he recently participated in De Allerslimste Mens ter Wereld in 2022. Gilles brings his expertise and wit to TheMerode’s Quiz Show, promising a night of engaging fun and competition.
