We are celebrating the winners of the Bold Woman awards 2022, who are none other than TheMerode Members, Amélie Matton, Florence Derck and Diane van Impe.
We are very proud to count amongst our members the Bold Woman Awardees of 2022! Learn about their journey to boldness while creating a moment to meet and mingle fellow members.
Meet the finalists of the Belgian Bold Woman Awards 2022, Amélie Matton, Florence Derck and Diane van Impe, three women who have shown audacity, perseverance, and vision to develop their business.
In a society where entrepreneurship relies mainly on identification to role models, there are still too little examples of women entrepreneurs coming to mind. As the international Veuve Clicquot barometer on women entrepreneurship published in spring 2021* has shown, too many structural and mental barriers still reside, preventing women from achieving their entrepreneurial ambitions.
This meet and mingle will be the occasion to get inspired by the bold achievements of Amélie, Florence and Diane and to start a conversation about the impediments to women entrepreneurship and building a business in a broader sense in an interview lead by Laurent Hublet, co-founder & CEO of BeCentral.
This event will also be the kick-off of a monthly ‘meet & mingle’, for our members to meet and get acquainted with our newest members.

Amélie Matton (Bold Award 2022) — Chief executive officer at Ecosteryl
A commercial engineer, specializing in the environment and international trade, Amélie Matton quickly put her dynamism to work developing a project in a sector at the crossroads of the environment and health. The concept, Belgian, innovative and unique in the world, consists in the design, manufacture and marketing of specific machines dedicated to the treatment and recycling of infectious medical waste. ECOSTERYL is now present in 60 countries, and is also recognized by the WHO, the United Nations, and the WB. Labeled by the SOLAR IMPULSE Foundation, this concept is recognized as one of the 1000 most efficient and cost-effective solutions to protect the environment.

(Future Award 2022) — Founders of DEMAIN Art
Florence Derck and Diane van Impe are active in the local art scene. At the time of the first confinement, the artists suffer cruelly from the lack of visibility while many of their friends are thinking of acquiring a first work. So they embarked on a new adventure and created Demain Art, a digital sales platform for emerging artists living and working in Belgium who do not yet have the support of a gallery. By doing so, they contribute to the dynamism of the local art scene. They also want DEMAIN ART to become a reference in the art world and to be recognized for unearthing young talent and offering quality works at affordable prices.
