80 years later, Alfred de Montesquiou recounts the historic trial that shaped modern justice.
On November 20 1945, the Nuremberg Trials opened in the aftermath of Nazi Germany’s defeat, marking a turning point in the history of international law.
Journalist and filmmaker Alfred de Montesquiou joins reporter Wilson Fache to examine the landmark trial of twenty-four Third Reich leaders, a pivotal moment that exposed the full scale and horror of Nazi atrocities and the Holocaust. In his book "Le Crépuscule des hommes" and his documentary "Au coeur de l'histoire: le procès de Nuremberg", he recounts the events inside the courtroom and beyond, through the eyes of those who witnessed and reported on the trial.
As international justice continues to evolve under the scrutiny of modern media, what remains of Nuremberg’s legacy today?
The conversation will be followed by a book signing with the author of "Le Crépuscule des Hommes" (Robert Laffont, 2025), organized by UOPC.
