Liège: from the train station to the Uhoda Collection
Join us for a commented immersion into Daniel Buren’s installation at the Liège-Guillemins station followed by a guided tour of the Uhoda Collection.
Spend the afternoon in Liège in the company of an art historian who will take you through a guided tour of two contemporary art must-see places.
The visit will start at the Liège-Guillemins station with the monumental and temporary installation of Daniel Buren. Designed in perfect dialogue with the architecture of Santiago Calatrava, the work is spread over the entire vault of the building through a play of colours, contrasts, projections and reflections. An initiative of the Uhoda Group, in collaboration with the SNCB and with the support of public and private partners.
Our guide will then take us on a 20 min walk from the station to the Collection Uhoda, punctuated by architectural and artistic discoveries.
The guided tour of the Collection Uhoda will be an opportunity to find out more about the history of this corporate collection and how it came into being. The Uhoda Collection is characterized by a wide diversity of expressions, languages and media. Eschewing any attempt at categorization, it reflects the complexity of the sensibilities, tastes, and interests of its founders. It bears witness to a brief history of art told through the eyes of its founders, Stephan and Georges Uhoda.
Join us for this special afternoon at the heart of Daniel Buren’s art and of the Uhoda brothers’ vision.
