Late Jazz at TheOtium

An intimate session with the Jerry Kuan Trio

The evening continues in TheOtium with a late night live jazz session by the Jerry Kuan Trio, an emerging group from Brussels’ new jazz generation.

Led by Taiwanese pianist Jerry Kuan, alongside Emanuel Van Mieghem on double bass and Marius Loer on drums, the trio mixes modern jazz with groovy rhythms, odd meters and storytelling melodies. Their music blends acoustic and electronic sounds, creating a fresh and distinctive sonic landscape.

Whether you have joined the debate What is Wealth For? earlier in the evening or are simply in the mood for excellent live music, all are welcome. Settle into the atmosphere of TheOtium, order a drink at the bar, and enjoy a performance shaped by improvisation, energy and musical dialogue.

The session runs from 20:30 to 22:00 in TheOtium.

Jerry Kuan Trio

The Jerry Kuan Trio is a jazz-inspired piano trio that blends modern jazz with groovy rhythms, odd meters and storytelling melodies. Their music combines acoustic and electronic sounds, creating a fresh and distinctive sonic landscape. Known for his solid technique and inspiring musical personality, Kuan is a sought-after sideman while also developing his own projects as a bandleader. For this trio, he surrounds himself with musicians from Brussels’ new jazz generation: Emanuel Van Mieghem on double bass and Marius Loer on drums.
