Leadership, governance, and the future of equestrian sport
Stéphan Detry has spent decades at the heart of Belgian equestrian sport, as owner, breeder, entrepreneur and as President of the Royal Belgian Equestrian Federation. During his eight-year mandate, he oversaw a profound transformation of the federation, restoring financial stability while helping position Belgium as one of the leading nations in international jumping.
His experience offers a rare perspective on the sport beyond competition itself. Behind medals and international success lies a complex ecosystem shaped by governance, economics, public perception and long-term institutional leadership.
Join us for lunch with La Table des Cavaliers founder Fabio Ghezzi Morgalanti, for a focused conversation with Stéphan Detry on leadership in sport, the responsibility of institutions, and how equestrian disciplines can remain both globally competitive in a changing world.
