Behind the scenes with one of showjumping’s most trusted coaches
What makes a great rider—and an even greater horse? Few people can answer that question with more authority than Jos Kumps, one of the most respected and discreet figures in international showjumping.
For decades, Jos has worked behind the scenes with the world’s top riders and horses, helping shape Olympic champions and legendary mounts. From Rodrigo Pessoa to Harrie Smolders, Daniel Deusser to Gregory Wathelet—his influence has guided some of the sport’s biggest names. Horses like Baloubet du Rouet, Hello Sanctos, and Killer Queen have all benefitted from his eye, his instinct, and his extraordinary understanding of equine potential.
Yet Jos remains dedicated above all to the education of riders at every level. Whether coaching Olympians or ambitious amateurs, his mission is simple: if you’re willing to learn, he’s willing to teach.
Join us for an exclusive lunch, hosted by Table des Cavaliers founder Fabio Ghezzi Morgalanti, where Jos Kumps will share reflections on a life spent at the top of the sport, the secrets behind great partnerships, and what truly matters in the making of champions.
