A lifetime in show jumping, from Olympic podium to training the next generation.
Albert Voorn is one of the Netherlands’ most respected figures in show jumping. Over several decades, he has competed at the highest level of the sport, representing his country at major international championships and earning a reputation for precision, composure and consistency.
His defining moment came at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, where he won the individual silver medal riding Lando. It was the result of years of disciplined work and a deep understanding of the partnership between horse and rider.
Since stepping back from top-level competition, Voorn has focused on coaching and training, working closely with younger riders and passing on a philosophy rooted in clarity, trust and respect for the horse. His approach reflects a broader view of the sport, one that goes beyond results to consider longevity, horsemanship and the evolving standards of modern equestrianism.
Join us for lunch with La Table des Cavaliers founder Fabio Ghezzi Morgalanti, for a conversation on high-level competition, the making of an Olympic rider, and what it takes to build lasting partnerships in the arena.
