Jazz for Breakfast: an Intimate Performance

Redefining Jazz with Elly Brouckmans

TheMerode invites you to start your day immersed in the vibrant and elegant world of jazz, guided by the captivating sound of saxophonist Elly Brouckmans.

This special morning format is presented in partnership with Conservamus, a Brussels-based non-profit association dedicated to preserving and supporting musical life in the city. Founded in 2007, Conservamus brings together institutions, artists and civil society around the Royal Conservatories of Brussels, working to safeguard this historic site while fostering the next generation of musicians. Through this collaboration, Conservamus helps bring outstanding young artists to TheMerode, creating new opportunities for musical encounters in the heart of the city.

A remarkable talent on the Belgian jazz scene, Elly Brouckmans is known for her expressive playing, technical mastery and natural stage presence. Through her warm tone and refined musical sensitivity, she effortlessly navigates between classic jazz influences and contemporary interpretations, creating performances that are both sophisticated and deeply engaging.

For this special edition of Jazz for Breakfast, Elly Brouckmans will take guests on a musical journey through a carefully curated repertoire of jazz standards and melodic improvisations. Her dynamic and elegant approach to the saxophone promises a morning performance filled with emotion, energy and spontaneity.
