Jazz for Breakfast: an Intimate Performance

Redefining Jazz with Eliott Knuets

TheMerode invites you to start your day immersed in the vibrant energy of contemporary jazz, guided by the virtuosity and expressive depth of Eliott Knuets.

This special morning format is presented in partnership with Conservamus, a Brussels-based non-profit association dedicated to preserving and supporting musical life in the city. Founded in 2007, Conservamus brings together institutions, artists and civil society around the Royal Conservatories of Brussels, working to safeguard this historic site while fostering the next generation of musicians. Through this collaboration, Conservamus helps bring outstanding young artists to TheMerode, creating new opportunities for musical encounters in the heart of the city.

A prodigious Belgian guitarist, Eliott Knuets has been making his mark on the international jazz scene from a remarkably young age. At just 16, he was already sharing the stage with Wynton Marsalis during his European tour. Since then, Eliott has evolved from a rising talent into a fully fledged artist, performing at renowned festivals such as Djangofollies, River Jazz Festival and Getxo Jazz Festival, collaborating with acclaimed musicians like Aaron Parks, and releasing his debut album to critical praise.

His musical language blends technical brilliance with a refined sense of groove and narrative, deeply rooted in the jazz tradition while remaining resolutely contemporary. For this special morning moment, Eliott Knuets brings his distinctive sound to an intimate setting, creating a dialogue between instrument, space and audience.

A refined and energising way to begin the day, accompanied by fresh pastries at TheOtium Bar, as music gently fills the room and sets the rhythm for what’s to come. A carefully curated experience designed to awaken curiosity, inspire creativity and start the morning on a resonant note.
