Guided walk: Discover the birds of Brussels

Step into the world of urban wildlife with this unique morning walk, designed to awaken your senses to the birdlife hidden in the heart of the city. Starting from TheMerode, we’ll head to nearby Parc d’Egmont, where nature guide Lucas Deproote will help you tune in to the birds that share our urban landscape.

Lucas, a member of the Royal Belgian League for the Protection of Birds (LRBPO), combines scientific insight with an accessible, engaging approach. With his background in social ecology and environmental management, he offers a rich understanding of biodiversity in city environments.

He’ll share practical tools for identifying birds by sight and song while introducing broader reflections on conservation, sustainability, and our everyday relationship with the natural world.

After the walk, we’ll gather for a coffee at La Fabrique en Ville’s sunny terrace.
