'En Mode Détermination': Turning failure into strength

Learn how setbacks can become springboards as two leaders share personal stories of failure and reinvention.

Part of 'In Determination Mode', this session is one of three inspiring talks curated in partnership with Darby Lubamba Conseil — a full day dedicated to overcoming adversity and staying the course.

Here, two exceptional guests will explore how failure can fuel transformation. Farah Ridane, Head of the education and talent program at the Fondation Roi Baudouin joins professional footballer Dedryck Boyata, a key figure in Belgium’s golden generation, to reflect on their own journeys through setbacks, pressure, and recovery.

They’ll share lessons learned, strategies that helped them bounce back, and the mindset needed to lead with resilience.

This session is moderated by Duke Tshomba, co-founder of Duse Magazine, director of A Better Place, and former professional athlete.
