TheMerode is pleased to host the unveiling of B.A.A.C, Brussels first African art center. On the occasion, B.A.A.C. will launch the first publication of its publishing house, celebrating the work of painter Gopal Dagnogo.
The monography Mythologies Contemporaines, offers an approach to Dagnogo’s work centered around the repetition of contemporary symbols, resulting in a body of work capturing moments of life, day or night, in a ballet of still lifes.
Join us for the launch of B.A.A.C, Brussels’ newest art center celebrating contemporary African art and discover Gopal Dagnogo’s monography. The evening will be followed by a cocktail and art performances.

B.A.A.C is an off-site art center aspiring to becoming a prominent art institution representing pan-African contemporary art across Europe and the world.
Its programme explores the creative diversity resulting from deep and complex interactions between individuals, cultures and values, putting unique and never-shown-before art works to the fore.
