Experience the Art of Mixology
This reimagined Cocktail Masterclass edition has been designed as a truly hands-on experience, giving participants the opportunity to step behind the bar and actively learn the essential techniques of cocktail making in a small and intimate setting.
Led by Ökēn Manager Jonathan Verbois, this immersive workshop will introduce you to two of the most fundamental techniques in mixology: the shake and the stir.
Because the group will be limited to six participants, the experience will be highly interactive and personalized. Each participant will prepare two cocktails, learning when and why each technique is used.
For the shaken cocktail, participants will create a Sour of their choice — selecting between Whisky Sour, Amaretto Sour, or Pisco Sour. Shaking is typically used for cocktails that include citrus, syrups, or egg white, as it vigorously blends and aerates the ingredients while rapidly chilling the drink.
For the stirred cocktail, participants will explore the world of Negroni-style classics, choosing between different variations such as the Boulevardier, Negroni, or Negroni Sbagliato. Stirring is a more delicate technique used for spirit-forward cocktails, allowing the ingredients to chill and dilute slowly while preserving clarity and texture.
Throughout the session, Ökēn’s expert mixologists will guide you step by step, sharing professional tips on balance, dilution, temperature, and presentation — the subtle details that transform a good cocktail into a great one.
