An intimate dinner with Patrick De Deckker and descendants of the Belgica crew
Following The 1897–1899 Belgica Expedition talk, members are invited to continue the evening over dinner at Ciao, joined by Patrick De Deckker.
What makes this dinner particularly special is the presence of Terence Lecointe and Charlotte Rolin Jacquemyns, both descendants of Georges Lecointe, the expedition’s second-in-command. Together with Olivier De Schrevel, they bring a rare personal and historical dimension to the evening.
Away from the stage, the conversation continues in a relaxed setting, offering a unique opportunity to reflect on one of the most remarkable chapters of Belgian scientific history.
