Chess, Conversation & Decision-Making — Summer Edition
As summer comes to an end and new projects begin, join us for an evening exploring the art of making better decisions — through the lens of chess.
Led by Loïc Crobeddu, public policy analyst, writer and co-founder of Woluwe Chess Club, this special Summer Edition will use chess as a laboratory for thinking, exploring how we evaluate options, navigate uncertainty, manage time, and decide when the future is not entirely clear.
From 6 PM to 9 PM, the evening will combine interactive chess challenges, collective exercises, informal conversations, and friendly rapid games. You will be invited to reflect on questions such as: What is the most important decision you will have to make before the end of the year? And what can chess teach us about making that decision when certainty is impossible?
No advanced chess knowledge is required. Whether you are a beginner, an occasional player, or a regular enthusiast, this is an opportunity to sharpen your strategic thinking, discover new perspectives, and connect with fellow members in a relaxed and playful atmosphere.
As the evening progresses, you'll move from analysing positions together to playing your own games, with one simple challenge: after each game, share one important decision you made and reflect on what made it successful — or not.
A summer evening combining strategy, conversation, learning and connection, designed to help you think differently about your next move.
