Satish Kumar

A lifelong activist, former monk, and inspirational figure who has been driving global change for over 50 years. Renouncing the world at a young age, he embarked on a peace pilgrimage, delivering symbolic 'peace tea' to leaders of nuclear powers. Now in his 80s, Satish remains devoted to ecological regeneration, social justice, and spiritual fulfillment. As the founder of The Resurgence Trust, Satish has shaped a just future through his influential magazine, Resurgence & Ecologist. He co-founded Schumacher College and is a sought-after author, speaker, and advocate for a more beautiful world. Recognized for his impact, Satish has received honorary doctorates, international awards, and holds esteemed positions promoting Gandhian values. Satish Kumar continues to inspire hearts and minds with his visionary ideas and unwavering commitment to a better world.


Swami Rameshwarananda Giri

Born in Bilbao, Spain, in 1968, is a Hindu monk affiliated with the Holy Order of Swamis (Dashanami Sampradaya). He serves as the representative of the Vedic Community of Spain and holds the position of director at the European School of Yoga Vedanta and Meditation. Additionally, Swami Rameshwarananda is an advisor for Interreligious Dialogue and Relations with the Administrations at the Hindu Federation of Spain, and he serves as a spiritual advisor to the Hindu Forum of Europe. Swami Rameshwarananda presides over the Transcendence International Interfaith Forum and represents the Religions of India on prestigious platforms such as the Elijah Board of World Religious Leaders, the International Mediterranean Conference of the Multaqa (UNESCO), and the Parliament of the World’s Religions. As the president of the PHI Foundation and vice-president of the Environmental Foundation, Swami Rameshwarananda is actively involved in the development of CampusPHI. This innovative initiative integrates technological projects in sustainable development and international cooperation, along with the University of Consciousness program (, emphasizing self-awareness and meditation. Located in northern Extremadura, CampusPHI holds the esteemed status of an International Campus of Excellence.
