Private tour of Galila’s P.O.C

Your fellow member Galila Barzilaï Hollander is inviting TheMerode to explore her collection. A great opportunity to discover her Cabinet de Curiosités and to connect.

Launched in 2019, Galila’s P.O.C (Passion Obsession Collection) is housed in a renovated 1950’s industrial building, in the Forest neighborhood of Brussels.

Through its organic and intuitive layout of over 600 artworks, the permanent yet evolutive exhibition Overdose samples the collection’s themes, marked by boundless passion, vitality, and a cosmopolitan openness.

This Cabinet de Curiosités unfolds a universe that mixes shapes, textures, colors and materials, embodying the flow of ideas, emotions, quests, dreams and fantasies shared by both artist and collector. The result is an abundant cornucopia, replete with surprises and never lacking in the department of humor.

Don’t miss this opportunity to share a unique moment with your fellow members.

Galila Barzilaï Hollander

Galila started her collection circa 2005, at a chance encounter with the Armory Show in New York City. She fell in love with contemporary art at that moment and, ever since, her drive for discovering emerging talents has been unstoppable. Curiosity, eclecticism, non-conformism, humor and intuition are some of the characteristics that define her way of collecting. “I am not an art collector. I am an ‘artoholic’, and this is a serious addiction. Art is the main interest in my everyday life. Besides the joy that it brings, aesthetics is a source of constant stimulation for the mind and spirit. It’s a spring of creativity and a problem-solving approach to life”.
