Join us for an inspiring evening with Guillaume Brayel, founder of Cave 1929, an independent wine merchant whose family has been dedicated to the world of wine since 1929.

This experience will unfold in two parts: first, a presentation of Guillaume’s entrepreneurial journey and family business heritage, followed by a guided wine tasting featuring a carefully selected range of wines.

Guillaume Brayel comes from a family that has been working in the wine industry since 1929. For nearly five generations, his family has been involved in various wine-related professions, including bottling, wine trading, wholesale, and wine retail. After earning a Master’s degree in Business and Communication, Guillaume chose to continue this family legacy by opening Cave 1929 in Brussels in 2016. Nearly ten years later, he is preparing to take over the family’s three historic wine shops in northern France, continuing a century-long tradition.

The evening will begin with a presentation of Guillaume’s business journey, exploring his entrepreneurial path, the evolution of his family business, and his experience building Cave 1929 in Brussels. Guillaume will share insights into entrepreneurship, family business, and the realities of developing a career in the wine industry.

The second part of the evening will be dedicated to a wine tasting led by Guillaume. Participants will discover a selection of wines while learning how to taste them with confidence and better understand what makes each bottle unique. Guillaume will share practical tips, anecdotes, and stories about the producers, regions, and terroirs behind each wine.
