A Collaboration with Alexandre Helson, for a moulded speculoos atelier
Meet Alexandre Helson, co-CEO of Maison Dandoy, and discover the story behind one of Belgium’s most iconic family-owned biscuit makers, founded in Brussels in 1829.
Representing the seventh generation, Alexandre will share his journey within the family business and how he combines tradition, craftsmanship and a forward-looking vision.
He will take you behind the scenes of Maison Dandoy, from its iconic speculoos and handmade savoir-faire to its commitment to social, environmental and economic regeneration. From becoming B Corp certified to embracing regenerative agriculture, discover how a nearly 200-year-old company is rethinking its future while staying true to its roots.
The experience will then become hands-on, as you get the chance to recreate Maison Dandoy’s iconic speculoos recipe yourself. Using the Merode mould alongside some of the house’s most iconic moulds, you’ll discover the traditional art of shaping, moulding and demoulding speculoos before baking your creations in TheMerode’s ovens.
And because good things are worth sharing, you’ll have the opportunity to take your moulded speculoos and bake them home.
A convivial and immersive experience combining heritage, craftsmanship, creativity and taste — with the opportunity to meet Alexandre, discover the story behind Maison Dandoy and experience its iconic speculoos tradition for yourself.
