Did you know the use of perfume dates back at least 4,000 years? Fragrance has always been an important part of our lives, whether it is to enhance your personal scent or to add a cosy touch to your home. However, choosing the perfect scent isn't always easy. 

In this workshop, beauty journalist and fragrance expert Sofie Albrecht, together with Leen De Cock from The Estée Lauder Companies, will guide you through the incredibly diverse world of perfumery. Through a unique mix of smelling and tasting you will become familiar with frequently used ingredients, so be prepared to indulge all your senses! Finally, you’ll learn more about luxury fragrances from Tom Ford, Jo Malone London, Kilian, and Edition de Parfums Frédéric Malle.

Sofie Albrecht is a journalist specialising in beauty and fragrance. She worked for 14 years as beauty editor at Knack Weekend before expanding her experience within the publishing sector. In parallel, she developed the professional persona “The Perfume Doctor”, under which she offers perfume consultations, workshops, and lectures. She currently works as a freelance beauty journalist, copywriter, and media and beauty consultant.
