How to optimise your plate with Emilie Steinbach

The bestselling health author returns with a cookbook that brings the latest nutritional science into everyday cooking.

Nutrition advice has never been more abundant nor more contradictory. Between shifting food trends and an endless stream of online claims, knowing what to put on your plate can feel surprisingly complicated.

Dr Emilie Steinbach approaches the question differently. Drawing on her background in integrative biology, neuroscience and nutrition, she brings together the latest scientific research with practical cooking. Following the success of her bestselling health book 'Votre santé optimisée', she turns her attention to everyday nutrition in her new book, 'Votre assiette optimisée'.

The book features 130 nutritionally balanced recipes, alongside guidance on choosing ingredients, cooking methods and kitchen equipment that preserve nutritional value while limiting contaminants. Seasonal meal plans, practical alternatives to ultra-processed foods and concise scientific explanations accompany each recipe, making evidence-based nutrition part of daily life.

Following the conversation, Emilie Steinbach will sign copies of 'Votre assiette optimisée' (Marabout, 2026), in partnership with UOPC.
