Halloween Jazz Night at TheMerode

TheMerode invites you to celebrate Halloween with a special evening of live music, where the haunting beauty of the violin and harp meets the mysterious and enchanting spirit of the season.

On October 28, join Mariam Arif Duo for a captivating 90-minute performance featuring violinist Mariam Arif and her harpist, in a special Halloween-inspired set that brings iconic film and television soundtracks to life. From the chilling compositions of John Carpenter to the eerie atmosphere of Stranger Things, the whimsical universe of Danny Elfman and The Addams Family, the duo will take you on a musical journey through the sounds that have shaped Halloween's cultural imagination. Expect familiar melodies, alongside contemporary pop hits reimagined through the unique combination of violin and harp.

A violinist trained at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the Royal Conservatory of Mons, Mariam Arif is an award-winning musician who has received distinctions at several international competitions, including the Anton Rubinstein Competition and the Tibor Varga Competition. As artistic director of the Cappella Conventi ensemble, she performs on stages across Europe. Equally at home with classical masterpieces, film scores, neoclassical compositions and reimagined contemporary hits, she brings a distinctive artistic touch to every performance.

Set against the intimate and elegant backdrop of TheMerode, this special evening promises a spellbinding blend of musical virtuosity, cinematic nostalgia and Halloween magic.

Whether you're a lover of classical music, a film soundtrack enthusiast or simply looking for a distinctive way to celebrate Halloween, join us for an evening of enchanting melodies and unexpected musical discoveries.
