Guided Tour - The Crucial Misunderstanding

Join us for a guided tour of The Crucial Misunderstanding at SYBIL, where Michel Tombroff and Laurence Dujardyn explore how conceptual art opens a dialogue between form, representation, and the real—through bronze, video, and installation.

Rooted in the legacy of conceptual art that emerged in the 1960s, the exhibition revisits the tension between formalization and lived experience. Conceived as a conversation between art and philosophy, it draws from Tombroff’s latest essay, Le malentendu capital. Alain Badiou et le sourire de l’être, developing an original thesis through readings of Alain Badiou and Jacques Lacan.
