An exclusive tour of the Musée van Buuren and its gardens, featuring four iconic silhouettes from the Fashion and Lace Museum.
This year marks both the centenary of Art Deco and the fiftieth anniversary of the Van Buuren Museum and Gardens. To mark these anniversaries, the Fashion & Lace Museum is lending four emblematic silhouettes from the 1920s and 1930s, infusing the house with the era’s blend of modernity, comfort, and elegance.
Among them, the Fontaine Lumineuse evening gown—typical of the aesthetic renewal that followed the First World War and attributed to Jeanne Lanvin—is shown for the first time. Archival documents place each piece within its historical and social context, allowing visitors to follow how fashion echoed the wider cultural shifts of the interwar years.
The tour invites participants to consider the interplay between architecture, design, and fashion, offering a thoughtful immersion into the world of Art Deco.
