Tue. October 6, 6:30PM
Join us for a special evening of cinema, conversation and philanthropy in support of GENeHOPE, the non-profit organisation co-founded by Hortense de Castries and Jean-Baptiste Van Ex to accelerate research into rare genetic diseases affecting children.
For the occasion, TheMerode will host a special screening of QUI BRILLE AU COMBAT, the deeply personal directorial debut of French actress Joséphine Japy, presented at the 2025 Festival de Cannes. Sarah Pachoud, who stars in the film, will join us for the evening.
Inspired by Joséphine Japy’s own family story and her relationship with her sister, the film offers an intimate portrait of a family whose daily life revolves around their youngest daughter, Bertille, who lives with a severe disability and an uncertain diagnosis.
By joining us for the evening, you will be directly supporting GENeHOPE’s work to advance research into rare genetic diseases affecting children.
This project needs you. We count on your generosity and thank you for your invaluable support.
