FinTech & GovTech: Driving digital innovation

Flanders Technology & Innovation Brussels brings professionals together at TheMerode to explore how trustworthy AI, FinTech and digital public services (GovTech) are transforming the way citizens, businesses and governments work together.

Programme for the Day

The programme opens with two keynote presentations. Stijn Christiaens, co-founder and Chief Data Governance Officer at Collibra, Belgium’s first tech unicorn, he explains why data governance is not simply a matter of compliance, but the foundation of reliable AI and financial infrastructure, a conviction he carried from a VUB research lab to an international scale-up. Claire Munck is CEO of BeAngels, one of the largest and most active business angel networks in Europe. She has led BeAngels since 2013, building it together with her team into a network of hundreds of members who have invested tens of millions of euros in hundreds of Belgian start-ups.

Leaders from both FinTech sectors continue with inspiring and insightful pitches: Michael Van Gijseghem, Chief Commercial Officer Monizze; Quentin Colmant, co founder and CEO of Qover, whose embedded insurance platform now serves 15 million users across 32 countries , with partners including Revolut, Mastercard and BMW; and Aline Muylaert, co founder of Go Vocal, formerly CitizenLab and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree.
