Exclusive screening and dinner with François Troukens

Meet François Troukens, former bank robber turned filmmaker, for an  avant-première followed by dinner and a conversation about cinema and reinvention.

TheMerode invites its members to an exclusive first look at a new crime series, followed by dinner and a conversation with its director, Belgian filmmaker François Troukens.

For Troukens, the subject is more than a crime story. Before becoming a filmmaker, he had experienced that world himself. A former armed robber, he later studied literature and began writing for cinema and comics.

The screening will take place in the conference room, transformed for the occasion into a small cinema with comfortable cinema-style chairs. As this is an exclusive avant-première, phones will not be allowed in the screening room. The deliberately intimate format also offers a chance to experience the screening in a more personal setting before meeting its creator over dinner.

Over dinner, he will talk about his journey, his work as a filmmaker, and the making of the series. The conversation will be hosted by TheMerode member Sara Khamrich.

The evening begins at 19:00 with an exclusive 45-minute screening, followed by dinner and conversation at 20:00.
