BeClimate Hub, for a greener tomorrow

Join us for the launch of BeClimate Hub, an initiative working towards decarbonizing our economy and regenerating our ecosystems. With Secretary of State, Thomas Dermine and geographer, Eric Lambin.

BeClimate Hub will be running 3 events over the course of October, November and December. For this first edition, the selected thematic is: Upscaling Existing Solutions.

BeClimate Hub is a dynamic ecosystem aimed at accelerating sustainable solutions in Belgium. By attending this inaugural meeting, you become a valuable part of this ecosystem, stimulating collaboration and paving the way for a better future.

Thomas Dermine, Secretary of State for Recovery and Scientific Institutions, and Eric Lambin, an acclaimed geographer and Chief scientific advisor to the European Commission will share their insights on "Upscaling Existing Solutions" and discuss collaborative efforts to tackle environmental challenges.

Following the keynote speeches, we will dive into table networking sessions moderated by specialists revolving around vital sub-themes, including carbon capture, sustainable construction, energy networks, and attracting “climate" talent.

BeClimate Hub is a collaborative initiative launched by Stanislas van Wassenhove that brings together innovative start-ups, forward-thinking companies, investors, academics, and dedicated individuals working towards decarbonizing our economy and regenerating our ecosystems.

Eric Lambin is a geographer and environmental scientist teahing at UCLouvain and Stanford University. Since 2021, he is also member of the Group of Chief Scientific Advisors to the European Commission.

Thomas Dermine

Thomas Dermine is the State Secretary for Science Policy, Recovery Program, and Strategic Investments at the Belgian Federal Government. Dermine, an advocate for innovation and scientific research, oversees the country's ambitious recovery plan and strategic investments. His work focuses on leveraging science and technology to drive sustainable economic growth and enhance Belgium's position as a leader in innovation.
