Avant-première: The voice of Hind Rajab

A unique avant-première screening followed by    a  conversation with director Kaouther Ben Hania at UGC De Brouckère

In partnership with the Millenium Festival, UGC and Cinéart, TheMerode invites its members to a special avant-première screening of The Voice of Hind Rajab: the Grand Jury Prize winner (Silver Lion) at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, the Audience Award at the 2025 San Sebastian Festival and The Grand Prix for Best Film at 2025 Film Fest Gent.

January 29, 2024. Red Crescent volunteers receive an emergency call. A 6-year-old girl is trapped in a car under fire in Gaza, pleading for rescue. While trying to keep her on the line, they do everything they can to get an ambulance to her. Her name was Hind Rajab. The genocide taking place in Gaza pushed Kaouther Ben Hania to make her film with the utmost urgency. A true story with universal resonance.

Kaouther Ben Hania: “I cannot accept a world where no one answers a child’s call for help. This pain, this failure, concerns us all.”

Following the screening, Kaouther Ben Hania will join TheMerode member Sara Khamrich for a Q&A session.
