Art, ownership and legacy: Navigating tax and succession

A workshop on the fiscal and legal aspects of collecting and passing on art.

Owning art is more than a passion - it’s an investment, a legacy, and sometimes, a tax puzzle. Should you acquire art in your own name, through a company, or within a foundation? What happens when it's time to pass it on? And how does taxation come into play?

This hands-on workshop demystifies the fiscal and legal aspects of art ownership and succession. Through expert insights and real-world case studies, you’ll gain practical knowledge on structuring, protecting, and transmitting your collection.

Led by Valérie-Anne de Brauwere, a lawyer at the Brussels Bar and Partner at THALES Lawyers Association, specialising in wealth and succession planning, including for art collections, this session is a must for anyone looking to safeguard their collection for the future.
