100 years of Surrealism at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts

Join us for a guided tour of IMAGINE! and explore the origins of the surrealist movement through more than 130 works from major artists.

From 1880 onwards, Brussels has been an exceptional hub for the arts and the avant-garde before becoming the epicentre of Belgian Surrealism in the 1920s.

To celebrate the 100 years of the movement, the MRBAB is showcasing an exhibition that explores Surrealism through a Symbolist perspective, from their connections and similarities to the fracture lines that led to the emergence of Surrealism.

Join us for an incredible immersion in surrealist poetry, dream, metamorphosis, the unknown and the subconscious, led by the great names of Surrealism, from Max Ernst to Giorgio de Chirico, not forgetting Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, Jane Graverol, Dorothea Tanning and Man Ray amongst other artists.
