The graduate and prize-winner of the Paris Conservatoire, Stéphane Denève will do us the great honor of stopping by TheMerode during his European tour for an intimate lunch with Karine Becker and our members.

Stéphane Denève will lead the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra’s first international tour as part of a five-day tour including concerts in Vienna, Brussels, Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Madrid. The soon to be Principal Guest Conductor of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic does the honor of visiting TheMerode sharing his passion for music of the 21st century and his commitment to inspire the next generation of musicians. Stephane will share his leadership insights and experiences, with a focus on bringing out the best in each team member. This is a must-attend event for music lovers and curious leaders among us.

Stéphane Denève is Music Director of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Artistic Director of the New World Symphony, and from 2023 will also be Principal Guest Conductor of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic. He recently concluded terms as Principal Guest Conductor of The Philadelphia Orchestra and Chief Conductor of the Brussels Philharmonic, and previously served as Chief Conductor of Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra (SWR) and Music Director of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Stéphane Denève is recognised internationally for the exceptional quality of his performances and programming.

Stéphane Denève’s recent and upcoming engagements include appearances with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra (with whom he conducted the 2020 Nobel Prize concert), Orchestre National de France, Czech Philharmonic, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, Vienna Symphony, DSO Berlin, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, and Rotterdam Philharmonic.

Karine Becker has more than 20 years of experience in Executive Search. Prior to founding Hire & Higher, she has founded and led several other Executive Search entities. She has also been very involved in Diversity Matters and was one of the first to embrace Gender Diversity in her practice. At some point she decided that she wanted to have a positive impact on the world and created Hire & Higher in order to help companies through their transition with the recruitment of conscious leaders.

Karine has been an entrepreneur since she was 29 years old, she is mom of 2 young women and she has also been in charge of the production of the satirical show Sois Belge et Tais Toi! for 5 years. She is a nature lover and a strong believer in change making !
