In case you’ve missed the screening of Bigger Than Us at TheMerode last October, join us for a private screening of the awarded documentary in our cinema room. Get the unique opportunity to meet Flore Vasseur and Winnie Tushabe, one of the protagonists of the documentary.

Bold entrepreneur-turned-filmmaker Flore Vasseur travelled the world with her team meeting the young people at the forefront of change. The documentary film “Bigger Than Us” is an inspiring encounter with those changemakers, revealing their courage, joy and commitment.

Winnie Tushabe, the young lady fighting extreme poverty in Uganda through permaculture, will share her story, her turning point and her unique experiences. “I survived school dropout, I survived early marriages and giving birth too early, I survived that, and then I survived this life that is not meaningful. Because I looked at myself as someone who came from the grass-root, I should also help my fellows come from that and survive.”

Flore Vasseur, Bold Entrepreneur-Turned-Filmmaker.

An entrepreneur in New York at the age of 24, Flore Vasseur lived through the Internet bubble, September 11 and a capitalist system that was cracking on all sides.

In Moscow, she directed Meeting Snowden about the former NSA contractor. Her latest book, What Remains of Our Dreams, is an investigative novel about the little-known real-life story of Aaron Swartz, the child prodigy of code who wanted us to be free, persecuted by the Obama administration.
