His first venture as the co-founder of Expliseat revolutionized airline seats for economy class. Today, Jean-Charles is the co-founder and CEO of Alan, one of the fastest-growing start-ups in Europe that helps people have a personalized and accessible healthcare experience. Alan has just raised €183 million in Series E funding for a total valuation of €2.7 billion. Teacher’s Venture Growth (TVG), an arm of the Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan Board, is leading the round, with participation from existing and new investors including Temasek, Index, Coatue, Ribbit Capital, Exor, Dragoneer and Lakestar. With his innovative business strategies, Jean-Charles is also the author of 2 books; “Healthy Business”, a book on helping create company culture and “De l’assurance maladie au partenaire bien-être” on uncontrolled rise in prices, disaffection of health professionals for their practice, very heterogeneous quality of care.
Duco Sickinghe is a leading figure within the European technology ecosystem. Previously working alongside Steve Jobs at NeXt Computer, Duco is a former CEO of Telenet, the founder & CEO of Software Direct, Chairman of the Board for KPN, Van Eeghen, and Teamleader, and the managing partner at Fortino Capital. With his leadership and extensive work experiences, Duco also provides coaching for companies through capital and management expertise, development of personnel, and business strategies.
